The Halls benefit from the latest lighting and heating technology. This not only minimises our carbon footprint but reduces maintenance as the lamps have a life in excess of 30000 hours!
The facility is insulated and double glazed to a standard in excess of the latest government standards ensuing that you keep nice and toasty. We have award winning thermostatically controlled heating valves and encourage all students to use energy in a responsible manner. We have the latest absence detectors that will turn the light off if you don't.
Although your energy bills are included we do have a fair usage policy. If any rooms exceed this limit we will bring this to your attention and if the excess continues, we reserve the right to charge for the excess. Our latest programme is the installation of smart meters which ensure student groups have instant access to their energy consumption and allows us to monitor consumption.
